The Social Media Marketing II course is the second of two courses we offer in this area. The program focuses on social media platforms LinkedIn and Twitter as well as other emerging and specialized platforms.
LinkedIn has more than 660 million users across 200 countries worldwide, and this number continues to grow year on year. It is the number one platform for B2B marketing and is the most-used social media platform among Fortune 500 companies.
Twitter has 330 million monthly active users and has proven to drive traffic and exposure for businesses – almost half of the people that visit a Twitter profile also visit the website linked to the profile. It is also an excellent tool for customer care, insights, and more.

Course Content
The Social Media Marketing II course is the second of two social media courses offered at Cumberland College, and is designed to teach students everything that they need to know to succeed professionally in today’s business world.
This 15-week course will take a practical approach to learning, with a combination of theory and project-based work. The course will teach students additional social media strategies and tactics, and the methodology behind them.
Students will also learn how to adapt social media strategies for different platforms. For example, you will learn what content performs best on Twitter compared to LinkedIn, how to alter your tone and messaging for different audiences, and the main demographics on each platform.
